The SCADA Mr. Football In South Carolina Award
The Mr. Football Award is presented
annually to the top senior player in
South Carolina. Mr. Football is
chosen by a select panel of coaches,
administrators and  officials involved
with high schools and high school
sports.

Mr. Football candidates must be
nominated by their coach, have
acceptable scholarship, be endorsed
by a member of the high school staff
not in the athletic department and be
of outstanding character off the field.


The Mr. Football in South Carolina
award is presented by Rage Against
the Haze.
Richard Mounce of Blythewood High School was presented with the Mr. Football in
South Carolina award by Mary-Kathryn Craft of Rage Against the Haze. Rage Against
the Haze is the presenting sponsor of the Mr. Football in South Carolina Award.

Mounce is Mr. Football
in South Carolina
MYRTLE BEACH — Richard Mounce, the record setting
quarterback for Blythewood High School was named M.r
Football in South Carolina. The Award is presented by Rage
Aginst the Haze.

Mounce completed 152 of 223 pass attempts for 2,416
yards to lead his team to a 10-0 record. He also rushed for
667 yards.

Last year, he set a state record with nine touchdown
passes in a single game. He finished 2006 with 3,336 yards
and 39 touchdowns passing, while rushing for 1,108 yards.



Mounce received his award at the
Regions Bank, North-South All-Star
Football Awards presentation.
