Malcolm Long Quarterback Gaffney High School

Long led his Gaffney High School team to the AAAA Division I title
and an undefeated season in 2006. The championship was the
second straight title for Long and the Indians who won 22 straight
games.
Mr. Football in South Carolina played his best football in his junior
and senior seasons. During the last two playoffs Long completed
60.1% of his passes for 1,496 yards and 15 touchdowns.
In his last two state championship winning seasons, Long
attempted 153 passes and threw only one interception. During his
senior season, in the four Gaffney playoff victories, Long did not
throw an interception in 74 passes.
Long’s career statistics are impressive. He threw for 6,437 yards
and 63 touchdowns. He rushed for 12 more scores during his
career at Gaffney.
